The earliest traces of the Borkoshavski Academy as a concept date back to Ala Borkoshavski (then Capulo)'s arrival to the states, Ala having escaped from a now defunct lab in Italy that imbued him with his wings. It was here, that he would be taken in by the ever renowned Starman, begginning their lifelong friendship and mentoring.
When Ala and Helena became aware that they would be having a child in early 1990, they reailzed that, at the time, the world for DPPs was rocky and tremulous. Constant hatecrimes and anti-superhuman legislature were being passed every time they'd open a newspaper. This was not the system that they wanted their child to live under. So Ala and Helena partnered with Vincent and his wife, famed reporter Tracey Track, to open a school right here in Vermont for superpowered children.
But the question was... how could they afford all of this? Well, The Olympians, of course! At the time, Ala Borkoshavski was a founding member of the Olympians. Due to how much money the organization made due to brand deals (as well as selling their cinematic rights, an unprecedented decision at the time), they were able to at least make a solid investment. Also involved in funding the project was one of Ala Borkoshavski's close friends, Brutus Martinez, founder of Morningstar Media.
Opal's Note: I know hes like missing and all but Icarus I genuinely dont know where you got this. They got fucking government funding like a normal fucking school dipshit
